Who is behind this web site?

This site was developed by Phil Ware in conjunction with the Southern Hills Church and the Westover Hills Church along with the friends, resources, and tools of Heartlight.org. Special thanks to Paul Lee for his graphics expertise and Steve Puckett for his work on resources. Feel free to contact us!

What do you believe?

We believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the One, True, Living God. We believe that Jesus died for our sins and rose from the grave to give us victory over death. We believe that God has given us the Bible to help us come to know Jesus, the fullest demonstration of God's love and the greatest example of His truth. We believe that people can know Jesus today, and that by becoming one of Jesus' followers, people can find life, truth, hope, and joy that will never end.

Why did you put together this web resource?

We believe that as people experience the movie, The Passion of The Christ, they will be touched by God's love for them. FirstFollowers.com was put together to help people today know with confidence that they can be a follower of Jesus just like the very first followers who understood the true meaning of The Passion of The Christ -- Jesus' death, burial, and resurrection. While there are many resources provided here, our primary hope is that you will see for yourself how these first followers began their life with Jesus in Acts 2.
