Receiving Jesus' Promised Blessings

Jesus is both Lord and Christ! He is deserving of our praise, appreciation, and service whether or not He ever did anything else for us. God's love for us is powerfully demonstrated by Jesus' Passion when we were "utterly helpless," "ungodly," "sinners," and "enemies of God." One day, every person who has ever lived will confess that Jesus is Lord, even those who were responsible for His death. When we praise and honor Jesus with our words and lives, we are only doing what He deserves.

However, God is gracious! He sent Jesus to bring us heaven's greatest blessings. The gift of Jesus didn't just end with His death, burial, and resurrection. Jesus blesses His followers in many ways. However, these first followers were told there are four blessings that were certain for them: forgiveness of their sins, the gift of the Holy Spirit, salvation from destruction, and the privilege of being added to God's people.
