Serving Jesus and His Followers with Devotion

The natural response to the blessings that Jesus gives is to serve the Lord and His people with devotion! This devotion was not so much commanded as it was the result of knowing Jesus as Lord, receiving the blessings of His salvation, and being a part of His people. Jesus' followers serve their Lord and His followers with their devotion!

This devotion shows up in four powerful and practical areas in a Jesus follower's life. First, they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching. Second, they devoted themselves to His people. Third, they devoted themselves to special meals together. Fourth, Jesus' followers devoted themselves to prayer, just as their Lord had done while on earth.

Jesus did not call people to follow Him with lukewarm commitment and passionateless religion. The Passion demonstrated His love for them. He called His followers to show that same devoted passion in their lives, as well!
